  • David is Chairman of Spawforths who are a large independent Planning and Masterplanning consultancy based in Leeds. David is a Chartered Town Planner with over 30 years planning experience working within both the public and private sectors. David provides professional advice to a wide range of developers, housebuilders, landowners, and commercial retailer clients on all aspects of planning and development. David regularly advises on residential, logistics and mixed use schemes and is a recognised expert in Environmental Assessment matters. David has extensive experience of working within Manchester City Region and is leading of the Future Carrington project one of the largest draft allocations in the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.

    Dave is an influential leader in the City of Manchester as a member of the City’s Neighbourhood Board, Strategic Housing Board and vice chair of the Central Manchester Strategic Regeneration Framework. Hemingway Design have extensive experience in the design and delivery of exemplary housing schemes across the UK. Wayne will provide an engaging and insightful discussion around placemaking and community design in residential masterplans.

    Katy is a chartered town planner and has a background in planning, urban design and sustainability. Katy is currently a trustee for Planning Aid for London and recently co-authored ‘The Art of Building a Garden City: Designing New Communities for the C21st’ (RIBA Publishing, 2017).
