Incorporated into the event will be an exhibition zone, enabling the supply chain to communicate effectively their expertise in the sector, as well as themed breakout technical presentations for our delegates to gain a deeper knowledge of what solutions are available and how they can be embedded into their strategies.

  • David is Chairman of Spawforths who are a large independent Planning and Masterplanning consultancy based in Leeds. David is a Chartered Town Planner with over 30 years planning experience working within both the public and private sectors. David provides professional advice to a wide range of developers, housebuilders, landowners, and commercial retailer clients on all aspects of planning and development. David regularly advises on residential, logistics and mixed use schemes and is a recognised expert in Environmental Assessment matters. David has extensive experience of working within Manchester City Region and is leading of the Future Carrington project one of the largest draft allocations in the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.
  • Stora Enso
    Matthew Linegar is Head of Building Systems at Stora Enso where he is responsible for developing engineered timber building components and open source building systems. He has worked in international construction for over fifteen years and prior to joining Stora Enso in 2016 worked with companies including Arup, Techniker, KLH UK and Lendlease. An experienced structural engineer specialising in the delivery of CLT and engineered timber structures, Matthew has led on the engineering of many significant and award winning projects. Completed works include Stadthaus, the world’s first tall timber building (London 2009) and more recently as lead engineer for Lendlease Australia, Melbourne’s Library at the Dock and International House, Sydney - which as the world’s largest commercial engineered timber building forms the iconic gateway to Sydney Harbour’s prestigious Barangaroo Quarter.

    Charlotte has a background in urban planning and is passionate about fostering collaboration and creating a nexus of knowledge exchange to promote the long term establishment of urban trees.     Max is a Senior Partner at Farrells, internationally renowned architects with offices in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, where he has led on high profile projects including Earls Court, Old Oak Common and Royal Albert Dock as well as proposals for low cost, lifting bridges in East London and 21st Century mansion blocks as affordable housing. He is an expert in public affairs and urban planning, having previously been Community & Regeneration Leader at ERS the world’s leading provider of electoral services.
  • Group Chief Executive - One Manchester
    Dave is an influential leader in the City of Manchester as a member of the City’s Neighbourhood Board, Strategic Housing Board and vice chair of the Central Manchester Strategic Regeneration Framework. He is also a member of the GM Providers Core Group, Lead at GM level on Employment and Skills and a Director of Athena, the GM RPs delivery vehicle.     Wayne is chairman of the “placemaking campaigning body” Building For Life and is a trustee board member of Design Council CABE. Hemingway Design have extensive experience in the design and delivery of exemplary housing schemes across the UK. Wayne will provide an engaging and insightful discussion around placemaking and community design in residential masterplans.
  • Project & Policy Manager (Garden Cities & New Towns) TCPA
    Katy is a chartered town planner and has a background in planning, urban design and sustainability. Katy is currently a trustee for Planning Aid for London and recently co-authored ‘The Art of Building a Garden City: Designing New Communities for the C21st’ (RIBA Publishing, 2017).
